How to apply and important dates

For a detailed description of the application process, please carefully read the Postgraduate Studies Application page on the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment website. In addition to the standard Faculty application documents, candidates applying to study at the ERC are requested to provide a short, 2 page motivation letter (see also "Admission requirements"), which they are to send directly to the postgraduate administrator at the ERC (Ms Fazlin Harribi on fazlin.harribi@uct.ac.za). The motivation letter does NOT need to be included in the application file sent to the UCT Admissions office. Accepted candidates will receive a study offer letter by the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and are kindly requested to inform both the Faculty, as well as the ERC (Ms Harribi) as soon as possible, but no later than 15th November, whether they accept or reject the offer to study at the ERC. Candidates who do not respond to the study offer by mid November will be assumed not interested, and their spot will be offered to any wait-listed candidates.
